The campaign of Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, reported that it raised $540 million in just over a month ahead of the elections next November and highlighted it as “a record” in the history of USA.

“In just over a month since we launched our campaign, the team Harris-Walz raised $540 million, a record for any campaign in history,” he stressed.
That amount was raised since the vice president launched her campaign, after the president Joe Biden abandon the race for the White House on July 21 and gave him his explicit support. The Democratic announcement comes in the final stretch of the electoral race towards November 5 when he will have to face his Republican rival, Donald Trump.
“Immediately after his speech at the Convention, we recorded our best hour of fundraising since the day of the launch,” he highlighted. O’Malley Dillo, He said that one-third of the donations came from supporters who were contributing for the first time, which translates into $180 million.
The campaign of the democrat appears to have emboldened both large and small donors, marking a change of course from the period of uncertainty that followed Biden’s disastrous performance in the June debate.
“Meanwhile, the infrastructure of Donald Trump on the battlefield remains incredibly scarce,” the Democratic official said.
The former Republican president, whose campaign took a hit when Biden stepped aside, said he had raised $327 million in cash as of early August.
Harris, 59, and Trump, 78are tied in the polls less than three weeks before their first televised debate, scheduled for September 10 in Philadelphia.
