Trump’s daughter-in-law: ‘Further discussion welcomed’
Fox News Announces Intention to Host Second Debate

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who is receiving favorable reviews for her better-than-expected performance in the first presidential debate hosted by ABC on the 10th (local time), has proposed a second debate next month to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The Harris presidential campaign announced in a statement that day that they “intend to hold a second debate next month.” Jen O’Malley Dillon, Harris’s campaign chairwoman, urged a second debate, saying, “Harris is ready for a second debate. Is Trump ready?”

According to the Washington Post (WP) and other sources, the Harris camp has reportedly decided to hold the second debate “before the debate,” rather than “after the debate.”

However, Trump claimed in an interview with conservative media outlet Fox News that he won the first debate and that “there may be no need to do another one.” He also claimed that Harris’s campaign’s demand for a second debate “means we lost this one.” However, Lara Trump, wife of his second son Eric and chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, told the Post that “two more debates are welcome.”

Fox News said that if a second debate is held, they will host it and “we have sent letters to both camps asking them to participate in the televised debate.” On the first of next month, a debate between Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz and Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance will be held in New York hosted by CBS.
