American film company Warner Bros. Discovery intends to re-animate the Harry Potter books as a TV series, streaming platform HBO Max, soon to be renamed Max, announced on its YouTube channel. It is planned to shoot seven seasons of this series, each one will be based on one of the books about the young wizard. A release date for the first episode has yet to be announced. As planned by the creators, the series will stretch for ten years. At the same time, they warned that the cast would be completely new.
It is noteworthy that one of the executive producers will be the author of the original books JK Rowling, as well as Neil Blair (of Fantastic Beasts fame) and Ruth Canley-Letts (Strike).
