jpnn.comJAKARTA – Sandra Dewi’s husband, Harvey Moeis, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison in connection with a tin corruption case.
The defendant is an extension of PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT) in the corruption case in the management of tin commodity trade in the PT Timah Tbk mining business permit (IUP) area. in 2015-2022.
Chief Judge Eko Aryanto said that Harvey Moeis was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing the crime of corruption and the crime of money laundering (TPPU) together.
“This is the first primary indictment and the second primary indictment,” said the Chief Judge as reported by Antara, Monday (24/12).
Harvey Moeis was proven to have violated Article 2 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 3 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning Prevention and Eradication of Corruption Crimes jo. Article 55 1st of the Criminal Code.
Apart from imprisonment, Harvey Moeis was also sentenced to a fine of IDR 1 billion with the provision that if the fine was not paid it would be replaced (subsidiary) with imprisonment for six months.
The panel of judges also imposed an additional sentence on Harvey Moeis in the form of payment of compensation amounting to IDR 210 billion, subsidiary to two years in prison.
When handing down the decision, the Panel of Judges considered several aggravating and mitigating factors for Sandra Dewi’s husband.
