Chandigarh: Before the Haryana assembly elections, Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), which is facing the exodus of MLAs, has played a big bet. Party leader Dushyant Chautala has announced to fight the assembly elections in the state in alliance with Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) led by Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad. Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has formed an alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for the assembly elections in the state. The alliance of Azad Samaj Party has been announced by former Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala himself. Chautala has written on the X that the fight of farmers and laborers, we will keep fighting without rest, policies of Tau Devi Lal, ideology of Manvendra Kanshi Ram. After the alliance between JJP and Azad Samaj Party, it will be interesting to see what is the trend of Dalit votes in the state? Dalit vote bank in Haryana is 21 percent. It was believed that due to the Dalit vote bank splitting from BJP, the party had to lose the seats of Sirsa and Ambala.

Press conference of both the parties in Delhi
In Haryana, the Jannayak Janata Party will officially announce its alliance with the Azad Samaj Party on August 27 in Delhi. For this, the party has organized a press conference at 2 pm in Delhi. In the 2019 assembly elections, JJP won 10 seats, but before the 2024 elections, seven MLAs of the party have left the party. Apart from Dushyant Chautala and his mother Naina Chautala, only Amarjit Singh Dhanda remains as an MLA from JJP. JJP’s alliance with Azad Samaj Party (ASP) Kanshiram is being seen as an attempt to consolidate Dalit votes. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Dalit votes were consolidated in favor of India Alliance. On the other hand, Dushyant Chautala-led JJP got less than one percent of the votes and all the party candidates could not save their deposits. Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar Azad has been elected as a member of the Lok Sabha by winning from Nagina in Uttar Pradesh.
