jpnn.com – Chairman of Commission III DPR RI Habiburokhman responded to the polemic regarding the alleged politicization behind the naming of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
According to Habiburokhman, the debate about politicization will not end until the end of the world.
“If this is a political issue, it’s not political, until the end of the world we won’t finish debating it. It will definitely be very subjective,” said Habiburokhman.
He conveyed this after delivering End of Year Notes to Working Partners of Commission III DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday (27/12/2024).
“People who are stepped on will scream, people who aren’t stepped on will just stay silent. That’s our world today,” he continued.
The legislator from the Gerindra faction respects the KPK’s rights in carrying out its duties and therefore invites the anti-corruption agency to continue the legal process in this case.
On the other hand, he also respects Hasto’s right to defend himself as widely as possible, but he reminded him that the truth must be shown through evidence.
“If the rules are to be enforced, what is alleged and what is denied must both have evidence,” he said.
