The new Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann (FDP, 44) wants to pursue and prevent agitation by so-called lateral thinkers in the future!
► Buschmann to BILD: “The unacceptable death threats against Saxony’s Prime Minister Kretschmer have shown that parts of the so-called lateral thinker movement are no longer on the ground of the Basic Law. The rule of law must act consistently against the perpetrators behind these hate crimes. “
But Buschmann also takes social networks such as Telegram into account. “The Network Enforcement Act applies. And it also applies in particular to messenger services such as Telegram, which can be used to achieve a large range, ”says Buschmann. There is – contrary to what is often claimed – “no general exception”.
▶ ︎ Buschmann is striving for a European solution: “In order to effectively suppress hatred in social networks, however, we need uniform European guidelines.”
