You can file belated return till 31 December
If you have not filed your ITR yet, then you can file belated ITR till 31 December. However, for this you will have to pay a fine of up to 5 thousand rupees. This fine will depend on what your income is. Those whose annual income is up to Rs 5 lakh, a fine of up to Rs 1000 is imposed. Whereas those whose annual income is more than Rs 5 lakh, a fine of up to Rs 5 thousand is imposed.
