Doha: For the World Cup football match held in Qatar, those who have taken HAYA card will be allowed to enter Qatar till January 24, 2024. Last day, the Ministry of Interior of Qatar issued an order extending the validity of Haya cards for fans and organizers by one more year.
It was earlier announced that the Haya cards, which were also an entry permit for World Cup fans, will be valid till January 23, 2023. According to this, almost all Haya card holders have already left the country. With the new announcement, they can enter Qatar for one more year if needed. Haya card holders will get multiple entry permit to enter and exit the country any number of times.
No special fee or application is required to extend the validity of the card. Each Haya card holder can invite up to three family members or friends to the country. Haya card holders can also use the e-gate system for entry and return to Qatar.
At the same time, the Ministry of Interior of Qatar has also put forward the conditions applicable to the entry into the country. Provide proof of hotel reservation for stay in Qatar or details of staying with friends or relatives. Passport must be valid for at least three months upon entry into the country. There is also a requirement to have health insurance for the duration of your stay in the country and a return ticket.
The first phase of the compulsory health insurance scheme announced by the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar will come into effect on February 1, 2023. Accordingly, health insurance policy is mandatory for all visitors to Qatar from the first date. This will also apply to those arriving in Qatar using the Haya Card.
