As the production of season 2 of that HBO megahit called “House of the Dragon” is about to start, we have one of the first big news for the new installment of the series. And it is that we will have a cut in the number of episodes, which will go from ten to eight.

A change of plans regarding the original idea of keeping the structure of ten episodes for this new batch. However, the decision was made to cut, which has led to script rewrites to fit the arc they had planned in these eight chapters.
Despite the fact that we are in an era of cost-cutting by Warner Bros. Discovery, according to Deadline, this decision has been motivated by history itself rather than economics. Something that was quite probable due to the era of austerity that the entire business ecosystem of the company has experienced.
A season 3 on the horizon
This also affects the more than possible season 3 of ‘The House of the Dragon’ which, although it is not officially confirmed, is taken for granted.
