HBO Renews “The Gilded Age” for Third Season

“The Gilded Age” will be returning for a third season at HBO, announced Francesca Orsi, HBO Programming EVP and head of HBO Drama Series and Films. Orsi expressed pride in the show and its creators, saying, “We’re so proud of what Julian Fellowes and ‘The Gilded Age’ family have achieved. From the costumes to the production design and performances, the show has captivated so many week after week.” She also expressed excitement to continue the grand tale for a third season.

Erin Underhill, Universal Television president, also shared in the excitement, stating, “There is much more story to tell with ‘The Gilded Age.’ We’re delighted that HBO is giving fans another season of Julian Fellowes’ incredible storytelling.”

The period drama, set in 1883 during a time of economic change and conflict, follows several intertwined storylines involving characters from different social classes. The Season 2 finale aired on Dec. 17, and the show has been praised for its costumes, production design, and performances.

Creator Julian Fellowes writes and executive produces the series alongside Bob Greenblatt, Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Michael Engler, Sonja Warfield, and Salli Richardson-Whitfield. The show is co-produced by HBO and Universal Television.

The show features a star-studded cast including Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, and many more.
