BOLZANO. By order of the police commissioner of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, a 42-year-old Albanian citizen, HE, was expelled and boarded a flight departing from Milan Malpensa and landed in Tirana, where he was handed over by agents of the immigration office of the police headquarters to the Albanian border police.

Last June, the police commissioner withdrew the man’s residence permit because he had been sentenced by the court of Bolzano to 2 years in prison for acts of physical and moral violence, death threats and mistreatment of various kinds committed against his wife, including during her pregnancies, between 2008 and 2022.

In 2022, the woman had found the courage to leave her husband and move with her children to a protected facility, while in 2024 HE was sent to trial for violating the obligations of family assistance and for stalking his ex-wife. For this reason, he was banned from approaching and having contact with the woman, with the application of an electronic bracelet. Subsequently, he was arrested on an order of imprisonment and released a few days ago. Once released from prison, his expulsion was ordered and he was escorted to Albania.
