Illusory: 60-year-old Lablatzer Lamos, who used to work as a funeral director, revealed how he decided to stage his death and perform at his own funeral, just to see who came to cry at his grave and who didn’t. The idea came to Lamos after he organized a funeral attended by only two people.

After organizing this funeral, he decided, as mentioned, to stage his death and check how many people would come to honor him on his last journey. He came up with a particularly sophisticated plan, when he first published a photo on the social network Facebook, when he was outside the “Albert Einstein” hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The next day, his Facebook account stated that he had passed away: “Earlier, on this sad afternoon, Lemos left us. The funeral date will be announced soon.” Lemos’ friends and family were completely shocked by his announcement, as they had no idea his condition had deteriorated so quickly.

He arranged his funeral at a funeral home in Sao Paulo on January 18, and posted the details on social media. In the video taken at the ceremony, you can see a crowd of tearful mourners, bouquets of flowers and crying profusely at the man’s grave. Then, out of nowhere, a figure in a gray hoodie entered from the back door and the “secret” was revealed which left everyone present shocked.

While confessing to those present, he said: “I have conducted 889 farewell ceremonies in the past two years and in some ceremonies there were only two relatives while in others there were about 500. I wanted to know who would come to me.” According to him, he never said the word “death” but only the word “farewell” and that they thought he was dead, “their imagination controlled them”. At the end of the “farewell” speech, the 60-year-old told the mourners: “Be happy, enjoy life.”

His friend named Pedro, was really not impressed by what he did: “I really wanted to kill him. Who does such a thing? I love this man very much but to make a joke of the pain of those close to you? I almost had a heart attack when I heard he died. Some of his friends came to the house The patients when they heard that he felt ill.”

He continued: “The first thing I’ll do now is slap him on the cheek and that’s at best. At worst, I’ll break a bottle of champagne over his head.” Another friend, Rosalika, was similarly angry at Lemos’ actions and told the local media: “I didn’t like it. I felt cheated, like many others. Joking about death is not funny. He crossed a line.”
