The former Channel 13 host Cecilia Bolocco recently returned to TV alongside her‌ son Máximo to address the doubts surrounding ‌his appearance in a‍ wheelchair. During an interview, she also reflected on her ‍son’s health struggles during childhood.

Bolocco recalled the brain tumor ‍that Máximo had, explaining that it all‌ began with his migraines. Describing the experience as a Pandora’s box, she shared how⁤ the diagnosis ⁣of a cancerous tumor was the darkest day of her life.

The doctors informed⁤ her that the tumor was large, roughly the size ‌of a tennis ball. The diagnosis was devastating, as Máximo was given a life expectancy⁣ of 75% chance of survival. Within a week of learning⁤ the news, Máximo went from a ⁣healthy child to hospitalized with⁣ a large tumor. He had‌ only two years to live.

This experience led Bolocco to a ⁤newfound appreciation for life. She believes that even in the darkest moments, ⁣there is ⁢always a glimmer of hope to ⁤hold ‍onto.
