Rap-metal musician Redzed, hailing from Brno, has released his new album after two years of anticipation. He collaborated on the album with Slovak rapper Gleb and the band Vypsaná fiXa, celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. The album release party will take place this Thursday at Špilberk Castle, where Redzed will also unveil his new stage attire.
The 26-year-old Redzed (real name Zdeněk Veselý) creates music primarily in English, attracting a global audience. His Spotify monthly listeners have soared to 1.2 million, surpassing even renowned Czech rapper Viktor Sheen.
Inspired by a recent book on black magic, Redzed’s new album, Tales of a Necromancer, delves into the occult. He describes the album as a culmination of his musical experimentation, blending rap, metal, dubstep, and folk elements.
The album’s lead single, “Smoke and Fire,” features the band Vypsaná fiXa, with whom Redzed collaborated after a serendipitous encounter.
Redzed has a predominantly American audience, with fans also in Germany, Finland, and beyond. He looks forward to performing abroad, where he feels like a rock star. His upcoming gigs include the prestigious Sziget Festival in Budapest.
