Novak Djokovic is the ATP Finals champion. Despite starting the tournament with doubts, he ended up sweeping both the semifinals and the final. And he wants more. Because at 36 years old he is still hungry to be a champion of everything.

After beating Jannik Sinner in two sets, he set a goal for 2024. “You can always win the four Grand Slams and the Olympic gold…”, said the Serbian tennis player, who celebrates that his body “is holding up to the perfection”.

“My body is holding up well and I have a great team behind me. People see me compete on the big stages, but they don’t see the day to day, the work behind it to get to the Grand Slams in the best possible shape and in the case of next year also the Olympic Games,” highlights the world number one.

He insists on that Olympic gold at the Paris Olympic Games. Of the few things that are missing in his career: “It is one of my big goals along with the Grand Slam tournaments. The calendar is going to be a challenge because we will go from slow court to fast court and slow again. From dirt to grass, from grass to dirt and then hard.”

His season has been a true spectacle. He remembers the one from 2015… but he stays with his current self: “I would say that the best is the Novak of today. It is true that in 2015 I had a great year with 19 finals in a row. Now I choose the tournaments and not I play as much as before.”
