Pakistan lost the Test series against England 0-3. England completely dominated the matches from start to finish. They beat Pakistan by 74 runs in the first match at the Rawalpindi Stadium. England won the second match in Multan by 24 runs and the third and final Test in Karachi by 8 wickets.

Pakistan have lost four Tests at home this year. This has affected their World Test Championship chances. Pakistan captain Babar Azam scored 348 runs in 6 innings including a century and 3 fifties. But after the disappointing result, his captaincy has come in for criticism.

While many have been criticizing Babur for his captaincy, his teammate Shaheen Afridi has been very supportive of his skipper.

Shaheen also posted a big post on Twitter urging fans to show some respect. In it, he praised Babar Azam as my pride and Pakistan’s pride and asked the fans to continue their support and mentioned that the story is not over yet.

The world Test champions are seventh in the rankings following Pakistan’s recent series defeat. Notably, while Australia and India currently occupy the first and second positions respectively, England have moved up to the fifth position after their historic win over Pakistan.
