A tragedy occurred ⁣in the south of Chile this weekend following the death of Rodrigo⁤ Cansino ⁢Aravena, a teacher who was‌ the victim of a traffic ‌accident⁢ in the early hours of Saturday in Osorno,⁣ Los Lagos region. The incident happened in the Pichil sector.

The driver‍ of the vehicle, under the influence of alcohol, ​was responsible ⁤for the collision that resulted in Cansino’s death. The collision occurred‍ when‍ the driver⁣ lost control of ⁢the⁤ truck, which then hit a⁣ tree.

Cansino​ served​ as head‌ of the UTP at the Liceo Bicentenario Adolfo Matthei in Osorno, and his death caused panic within the educational establishment.

Details of the Accident

The driver, along with Cansino ⁤and two others, lost ⁤control of the truck and collided with‌ a tree. Initially, the driver and Cansino managed to escape the vehicle on their own, while the other two people remained trapped.

Neighbor’s Account

Roman Soto, chairman of the ⁣neighborhood council‍ in Pichil village, witnessed the aftermath of the ⁤accident and described seeing two people‍ lying⁢ on the‍ ground and two ‍others trapped‍ in the truck. He stayed with a⁢ young boy who was complaining of chest pain until paramedics arrived.

Driver’s Alcohol Test

The truck driver, Tito Vera, tested positive for alcohol with a reading of 1.24 grams per ⁤liter of blood. The‌ prosecutor in charge of the investigation requested an extension of formalities by 48 ‍hours‍ due to the absence of the autopsy report.
