As reported France Blue, a 45-year-old man was indicted for having stabbed his brother to death on Thursday July 13 in Valence (Drôme), after believing that he was holding a weapon and was going to attack him. But the victim was actually holding a taco in his hands, a harmless Mexican sandwich.
This macabre scene occurred against the backdrop of a conflict that had lasted for several years between the two men. The stabber was immediately arrested and taken into custody while his younger brother quickly succumbed to his injuries. The sister of the two protagonists, in a state of shock, was taken care of by the emergency services after giving the alert.
Saturday July 15, the murderer was indicted for “repeat murder” due to a court appearance for acts of participation in a criminal association. Premeditation has not been established in this case. Awaiting his trial, the man was remanded in custody. He faces at least 30 years in prison.
