/ The French police announced the arrest of “the most dangerous child” who put the country on alert and terrified people for several months, and also paralyzed movement in several airports, tourist facilities, courts, universities and schools.

French police have arrested the 13-year-old boy, who they believe is responsible for sending hundreds of bomb threats that have kept France on edge since the fall.

An investigation has been opened to determine the teenager’s connection to a series that included at least 380 false bomb threats, according to the Rennes prosecutor’s office and Le Parisien newspaper.

The newspaper added that the boy was suspected of making bomb threats throughout France, especially against airports, courts and universities.

The office said that the boy admitted that he did this for “fun” and without any political or religious purpose.

Ouest-France newspaper wrote that the 13-year-old student, now in detention, suffers from a personality disorder and has already received a one-year educational measure.

The police initially detained the boy’s entire family, but they were later released.

A wave of false bomb threats caused serious problems in France last fall, without the authorities being able to classify the threats.

These threats began following a fatal attack in October 2023 carried out by a young man on a teacher in northern France.

No specific threat or political background was ever identified, and in many cases authorities said the perpetrators were young men.

The threats have paralyzed airports, sometimes for days on end, and the Palace of Versailles, a tourist attraction, has been repeatedly affected.
