A taxi driver denounced a scam at the intersection of Urquiza and San Martín avenues in Posadas, after a man who boarded his vehicle he will flee without paying the fee and left his companion, a woman, inside the taxi.
The woman was arrested and the taxi driver estimated the loss at $1,000 pesos. The authorities are investigating the case.
In the early hours of this Thursday, a case of fraud occurred at the intersection of Urquiza and San Martín avenues. The complainant, Valdez E., a taxi driver by profession, reported that around 04:30 in the morning, a couple boarded his vehicle, a Fiat Palio taxi, with the intention of being transferred to Chacra 181.
Once at the requested destination, the man got out of the vehicle, and after a few seconds he fled into the farm, leaving the woman inside the taxi. The taxi driver, noticing the situation, locked the doors of the vehicle and went to the nearest police station, with the woman still inside the taxi.
The woman was identified as Paula Ayelen Ma, 25 years old, and was in possession of a screwdriver at the time of her arrest. The taxi driver estimated the damage at a sum of $1,000 pesos.
The case was brought to the attention of the intervening magistrate, who ordered the investigation of the case to the citizen. The police authorities urge the population to take extreme precautions when boarding public transport vehicles, in order to avoid this type of risk situation.
