Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, but have blamed Imran Khan for the crisis in Pakistan.
In this context, it has been alleged that almost every day when Imran Khan was in power, he used a helicopter to fly from his home to the Prime Minister’s Office and the government spent money on fuel for that helicopter.
Pakistan’s Finance Minister Mifta Ismail has said that Imran Khan’s helicopter trip has cost Pakistan 550 million rupees to the national treasury in the last three years and eight months.
Former minister Fawad Chaudhry has denied the allegations, saying that Imran Khan used the helicopter for security reasons and that the trip would cost Pakistan only Rs 55 per kilometer.
