In order to get money, María Ángeles Molina, better known as Angie, killed Ana Páez in 2008. The Investigation Team recalled the case in a 2012 program that laSexta rebroadcast this Friday.
Angie gains the young designer’s trust and befriends her. “She is a hard-working person who did everything. What she had she had earned, she went by train, she didn’t even have a car. She was a fighter,” says Teresa Martí, a ‘Promotex’ employee.
Ana is of humble origin, very close to her family, physically she has nothing to do with Angie, she is bigger, taller. Also, they have very different ways of being. Ana Páez is outgoing and also very confident. “She was very affectionate, very good, but she also had her temper. We told her to take care of her, she didn’t distrust anyone,” recall Antonio Páez and Ana Capitán, her parents.
Ana has had a boyfriend for years and lives with him on the outskirts of Barcelona. “He was a happy person, with a lot of desire to live, wanting to do things, wanting to work. We were happy, we had a very good relationship. We spent almost nine years together and we were very excited to do many things. That ended because someone wanted it to end”, explains Carlos Carbajo, her boyfriend.
No one can explain the relationship that Ana had with a person like Angie. “Ana told us very little about Angie, that she was a co-worker and that she was a bit eccentric, that she was a wealthy woman,” emphasizes Antonio Páez, her brother.
“Angie was a person with an air of greatness, arrogance. However, she changed her plan and behaved in a certain way to deceive Ana and make her believe that she was her friend, but it was false. What she wanted was to kill her,” laments the Anna’s boyfriend
