DJ Tomcraft died aged just 49. This was announced by the family of the DJ and producer, whose real name was Thomas Brückner.
Mourning the musician Thomas Brückner (1975-2024), better known by his name DJ Tomcraft. As Brückner’s family announced on his official Instagram channel on Tuesday (July 16), the DJ and producer passed away on July 15. The post does not mention a cause of death. He was 49 years old.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that our father and husband passed away yesterday, July 15, 2024,” the family said in a statement. And in addition: “We will carry you in our hearts forever and love you until we meet again.”
DJ Tomcraft first came to prominence in the mid-1990s. He released his first record, This is No House, in 1995. His biggest hit, Loneliness, was released in 2002 and reached the top of the UK charts. He released a total of four albums in his life. They all appeared within a period of six years. According to “Mixmag,” he performed in front of 1.3 million people at the Berlin Love Parade in 2003.
His friend and companion Westbam (59), who was also a pioneer of electronic music in the 1990s, wrote on Instagram: “Our good friend DJ Tomcraft has died at the age of just 49. […] It’s really heartbreaking. Rest in peace, brother.”
