Alex Goons the conspirator who is required to pay the victim’s parents

In 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza murdered 26 people, including 20 children, at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Right-wing man and propagator of American conspiracy theories Alex Jones claimed that this is not a real event and the event never happened, but rather actors who were hired as part of a plot to take away the guns of citizens in the USA.

Following these claims, his supporters began to threaten and harass the families of the murdered. According to the claims, some of the families had strangers come to their homes to record them, harassed them on social media and one of the parents, Mark Barden who lost his 7-year-old son Daniel, testified that they urinated on his son’s grave.

Following these events, the families of the murdered decided not to remain silent and went to court. Several trials were held against Jones in both Texas and Connecticut, but the verdict in the Connecticut court grabbed the headlines. In the verdict that was received on 12.10, it was ruled that Jones must pay 965 million dollars to the families of the victims, for spreading the lie that the fatal shooting spree never happened and the consequences of his words.

The lawsuit accused Jones of succeeding with his far-fetched theories to earn millions of dollars and increase his target audience. It should be noted that Jones refused to share with the court evidence that shows whether or not the company profited from the distribution of the information as claimed by the lawsuit.

Last Friday, Jones’ lawyers, Norm Pattis and Kevin Smith, filed an appeal for “an unfair trial and a substantial miscarriage of justice.” “The amount of damage that the conspiracy did as presented at trial was beyond all reason,” Jones’ lawyers argued in the appeal.
