Smriti started talking about Sushant’s death on June 14, 2020. “I was participating in a video conference that day. Many people were participating in it. But after hearing the news, I was devastated. I asked to end the program. I wondered why he didn’t call me. Could have called me at least once. I told him not to commit suicide.

After hearing the news, Amit Sadh, who starred in the movie ‘Kai Po Che’ with Sushant, was the first to be called. It was to make sure he didn’t make any mistakes. Amit too was shocked to know the news of Sushant’s death. Amit said that he has no desire to live. Amit told me that you don’t have a job, I could tell that he was devastated. I replied that we can talk,” Smriti said in the interview.

In earlier interviews, Amit had revealed that Sushant’s death affected him and Smriti Irani helped him face that time. “They used to call me often to know about my situation. I don’t know how they knew I had a problem. Once they talked to me for six hours. I told them that I don’t want to work in this industry any more and want to go to the mountains” – said Amit Annu.
