jpnn.com – MEDAN – A total of 1,997 Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) teachers within the North Sumatra Provincial Government have received their appointment decrees and undergone inauguration as ASN.
The Head of the North Sumatra Provincial Education Office (Kadisdik) Abdul Haris Lubis asked the thousands of newly appointed 2024 PPPK teacher formations to work optimally to improve services.
This was conveyed by Abdul Haris Lubis when giving a speech when inaugurating 1,997 PPPK functional teacher staff formations in 2023 which was held at State Vocational School 7, Medan City, Monday.
“The importance of improving teacher service and quality, as well as encouraging teachers to continue to work and inspire. For that, immediately adjust yourself, understand the main tasks and functions, and give the best performance,” said Abdul Haris while giving a speech at the inauguration of the 2023 PPPK Teacher formation, at SMK Negeri 7, Medan City, Monday.
He hopes that the 1,997 PPPK who will be assigned to 14 branches of the Education Office can bring about various positive changes in the places where they are assigned, to encourage the achievement of the goal of fulfilling the need for teacher personnel.
Abdul Haris said that changing status from honorary to PPPK would provide a guarantee of economic welfare, including salaries and professional allowances for teachers.
In addition, he said, this change in status will open up opportunities for more teachers to participate in competency improvement and certification programs.
“Therefore, increasing this competence is very important for the economic security and long-term career of teachers, as well as the quality of teaching received by students,” he said.
Abdul Haris said that changing status from honorary to PPPK will have a significant impact on welfare levels.
