On deaths in protests
President Dina Boluarte ratified today that the Executive Branch will continue to collaborate with the investigations carried out by the Public Ministry on the deaths in the protests that occurred in Peru.
He maintained that the Government regrets the death of each compatriot and that this should not happen, when asked about the death of the citizen Rosalino Florez due to the impact of pellets.
He also recalled that these investigations are not carried out by the Executive but by the prosecutionwithin its autonomy and powers.
“We have always said that we provide all the facilities of the case to the Public Ministry so that it can carry out its work and this will not be the exception”said the head of state.
On the other hand, He denied that he had any financiers during his campaign for the vice presidency of the Republic on the board of Peru Libre and indicated that he made two trips, one to the south and the other to the north of the country, thanks to an invitation.
The president pointed out that the audios that have been disseminated in this sense correspond to a “lawful coordination” and that he did not know that he was being recorded. Even, she did not rule out that there are more audios in the possession of Maritza Sanchez, who has appeared before some media as his assistant.
“I never asked her or anyone else to have an agenda in the name of Dina Boluarte. I had no secretary or assistants”clarified the head of state.
At another time, he ruled out a possible renewal of the Cabinet or the change of some ministers, pointing out that this creates management problems and the country is paralyzed.
“It is not so simple to change one minister for another, we have to get used to working in a mature way, looking at the country politically, because we all need it”maintained the president.
