A loud crash caught the attention of passing motorists This Saturday morning on Bajada de Maida, a few meters from the roundabout on Route 22, formerly the Neuquén Northern Highway. The incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m. and there were no injuries. The damage to the vehicles described the situation. The accident was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner Jorge Torres of the Police Traffic Division.
«Staff from the Traffic Division were called to intervene in a road accident in the sector known as Bajada de Maida, 500 meters from the intersection with the Autovía Norte,” he described and added that the protagonists were “a Jeep Renegade model vehicle, traveling east-west, which collided head-on with a Toyota Hilux pick-up truck, traveling in the opposite direction on the same road.”
The drivers were given the breathalyzer test, giving in one of the cases positive with 1.28 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. Despite the official description, no information was provided as to which of the two drivers was the one who was recklessly driving under the influence of alcohol.
