New Delhi: The Central Government’s Ministry of Statistics has reported that headline inflation fell to 5.85% in November last year.

The Central Statistics Ministry has released a report on headline inflation for the month of November. It has been reported that total price inflation for grocery items and vegetables has fallen to 5.85%. It has declined by 2.54% to 5.85% in November as against 8.39 in October.

This is the lowest decline in the last 18 months, the government said. Also, while the headline inflation rate was in the double digits until last September, it is currently in the single digits. And continues to decline.

According to the government, the price of food products, basic metal products, textiles, chemicals, chemical products, paper and paper products were lower than the previous months.

Similarly, the retail inflation rate also fell to 5.88% last November. It was 6.77% in the previous month. Retail inflation was 5.88%, the lowest in the last 11 months, according to the Ministry of Statistics.
