The Ministry of Health explained that seasonal influenza causes a number of complications, the most important of which are: pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, blood poisoning, and death.
She reported that the symptoms of seasonal influenza are shivering, sweating, high temperature of more than 38 degrees, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, persistent cough, dryness and runny nose.
The Ministry of Health had launched an awareness campaign to vaccinate against seasonal influenza under the slogan “the moment you wish for”, and it targets the groups most affected by it, such as the elderly, people with chronic diseases, people with immunodeficiency, pregnant women, health workers, and the general community members, stressing that vaccination is safe and does not exist. It has significant side effects, and has proven its effectiveness for many years in all countries of the world.
The ministry indicated that the disease can be prevented by obtaining the vaccine, the necessity of wearing a mask, washing hands well, avoiding direct contact with the eyes and mouth, using tissues when sneezing or coughing, and ensuring the cleanliness of the place.
Through this campaign, the Ministry of Health seeks to increase the number of vaccinations, reduce the rate of infected people, and the number of hospitalized patients due to seasonal influenza.
