The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) through Zonal Coordination 7 – SALUD delivered 466 computers to several first and second level establishments in the provinces of Loja, El Oro and Zamora Chinchipe, as part of the digital transformation program implemented by this State portfolio.
In order to guarantee the quality of the provision of health services, the MSP with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) acquired 4,225 computers nationwide with an investment of $3.3 million dollars.
Alberto Bustillos, head of Zonal Coordination Technology, reported that it is the second delivery of equipment that is carried out at the operational level, since at the end of 2022 199 computers were delivered and added to the delivery that took place this Thursday, April 20, “The technological equipment gap in Zone 7 was reduced.”
Among the actions carried out to strengthen the services, the provision of these teams will allow the data related to each process and service to be permanently and systematically improved.
Rondey Castro, Institutional Manager of Innovation and Technological Transformation in Health, expressed that this purchase will help the modernization and digitization of medical records, internal management system, among others.
