During the event held on Saturday (25), a variety of medicines were also distributed to the population.

On the occasion, the administrator of the BAI Foundation, Tchissola Mosquito, highlighted that the action aims to promote the well-being of the citizens of that region, given the lack of hospital units in the area.

“The Health sector is one of the pillars chosen by the foundation within the scope of its social responsibility, therefore, we embrace the cause, wanting to be useful to this needy population, offering them the care they need most”, he said.

For the president of APACP, Nelson Cahunda, it is an added value to carry out the activity in that location because the health status of the city’s residents is precarious as it only has one medical center that assists even the neighboring population.

“We have a medical center in the community that also serves people from other locations and with the population increasing, it is unable to respond to demand, therefore, the public health situation in this area is quite complex”, he highlighted.

The work carried out, specifically, in the Verde Força de Vontade neighborhood, in Zango 3, municipality of Viana, in Luanda, which included the population from adjacent areas, was guaranteed by 60 professionals from the Municipal Health Delegation of Viana and 26 student volunteers from the BAI Academy.
