London: Health Minister Sajid Javed has confirmed the spread of Omicron in the UK. He said it was not yet clear whether Omikron would override existing Kovid defenses and urged people to co-operate with Kovid regulations. There are currently more than 350 confirmed Omicon cases in the UK, including 71 in Scotland and four in Wales. Sajid added that since many of them had never traveled abroad, it was presumed that Omikron’s social expansion had taken place in the country.

The health minister said people from nine countries, including Nigeria and South Africa, should undergo Kovid screening before arriving in the UK and stay in hotels quarantine for seven days upon arrival in the country. At the same time, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said there was no need for stricter controls to prevent Omikron at present and that new restrictions would not be imposed in the country before Christmas.

At the same time, the number of countries that have confirmed the Kovid Omicron variant has risen to 45.

Omicron has already been confirmed in 16 states in the US. Currently, travel restrictions have been tightened in most European countries following the confirmation of Omikron.
