“Healthcare, the Left’s cure: hunger for seats and internal struggles. Marino demoted to the ASL, absurd”

ALGHERO – “It would seem that the Todde Council, with a blitz, today approved the “health reform” decree. The text, practically identical to a previous version disavowed by the Council itself and by authoritative exponents of the left, reveals doubts about its legitimacy and usefulness” – declared Michele Pais, regional coordinator of the Lega Sardegna.

“A bill that is only a reform in its title, that says nothing about how to make the regional health system work better, how to reduce waiting lists or endless lines at emergency rooms in difficulty, about the shortage of medical personnel or even about how to “patch” the latest mess made with fibromyalgia, but that would betray the only real objective pursued, namely the replacement of the DGs in office. Bad, very bad!” – continues Pais – “It would all be resolved in a question of power and a settling of political scores. Nothing about health needs”

“A bill that even in its replacement purposes for managers, would be completely illegitimate, lacking motivation and that would give rise to administrative abuses, exposing the Region to million-dollar compensation lawsuits” – concludes Michele Pais – “But does anyone care about the right to health of the Sardinians? Once again, public health seems to bend to political interests”.

“Furthermore, the transfer of the Alghero Marino Hospital from the University Hospital Company (AOU) to the ASL of Sassari starting from January 1, 2025 is confirmed, which as reported by the Alghero Health Committees, would create operational difficulties that are difficult to overcome, with the consequent blocking of healthcare activity, now finally at full capacity. A real mess, yet another job creation, far from the interest in good healthcare for the Sardinians”.
The League in the Region with the Hon. Alessandro Sorgia and in the Municipal Councils, will oppose such useless and harmful acts, promising a battle to defend the right to health of the Sardinians.
