(ANSA) – AOSTA, SEPTEMBER 19 – “In addition to the nursing degree course, which already has an operational headquarters in Aosta, we are examining the possibility of activating further courses in the health professions in the region, in collaboration with the University of Turin. In particular, in relation to the professions of radiology technicians and socio-health professional educators, for which a significant need has been expressed and, also, a significant interest from those who intend to dedicate their work activity to the world of health”. This was stated by the regional councillor for health and social policies, Carlo Marzi, responding in the chamber to a question from councillor Claudio Restano (Mixed) on the launch of degree courses for health professions.
“We have initiated fruitful discussions with the Rector and Vice-Rector of the University of Turin – he added – in the hope of being able to realize further collaborations starting from the next academic year 2025-2026”.
The Councilor then said he was “satisfied to have filled, for the second year in a row, all 30 available places for the nursing degree course: data that is in clear contrast to what is happening at a national level, which for the 2024-2025 academic year has seen a drop of over 5% in applications for admission tests to health professions courses”.
Restano’s reply: “The councilor confirmed what I already knew, that is, that no courses were organized for this year. Mine was a provocation to say that the promotional activity carried out by the Usl has borne fruit: there are 17 medical radiology technicians registered, compared to 22/25 positions available for the next few years. In addition to the educators, 15 prevention technicians are also missing and currently only one is in training. I hope that what the councilor hopes for will come true, otherwise these 17 technicians will go elsewhere and all the work we are doing on attractiveness will be lost”. (ANSA).
