Somerset ∙ Nurses, doctors and carers who arrived in the UK on healthcare visas have been given permission by the Home Office to take up a second job until August 27. The Home Office has given concessions to work in the same field as you are currently working. The permission is retrospective with effect from February 27.

Apply to update the visa to get concessions to do a second job. However, there is no need to update the visa for additional work under the current employer. However, Health Care Visa holders should contact the Home Office to confirm their eligibility, the Home Office said.
Those who are eligible for six months can work legally without any time limit. Earlier only 20 hours were allowed to do a second job. At present, the concessions have been announced for six months. After the expiration of the period, a decision will be made on whether to continue for more time.
