Abu Dhabi: The National Meteorological Center has announced red and yellow alerts due to heavy fog formation in various areas of the UAE. Heavy fog has formed over the coastal, interior and western parts of the country.

The National Meteorological Center has issued a warning from 1 am to 9 am on Thursday. A red alert has been issued in areas where visibility is reduced to less than 1000 meters due to heavy fog. A yellow alert has also been issued in places where heavy fog is expected.

At the same time, the Abu Dhabi Police has warned that speed restrictions have been imposed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi due to reduced visibility on the roads. Drivers should follow the speed limit displayed on the electronic sign boards on the roads. The maximum speed on Hamim Road (Hamim Bridge to Azab) has been reduced to 80 kmph. The maximum temperature expected in Abu Dhabi and Dubai today is 38 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature will be 25 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi and 26 degrees Celsius in Dubai.
