Since the last day, the country started experiencing extreme cold. At nights, the air temperature in desert areas was recorded below zero degree Celsius. The next few days will be the coldest days of the year. Meteorologist Adil Al Saadoon said that Azraq season is now in the country.

The Azraq season lasts from January 24 to January 31. At night and dawn the air temperature will drop below zero than during the day. The main reason for the coolness of the Azraq season is the strengthening of the cold northwesterly winds blowing over the Caspian Sea. Open areas, deserts and farmlands will experience intense cold. The weather in Kuwait for the past two days has made it difficult for people to go out even with thick protective clothing. The authorities have warned to take necessary precautions in view of extreme cold.
