A fierce fire is raging in a house in the Veldstraat in Sint-Michiels. Exactly how it came about is unclear. The house will most likely be uninhabitable. The residents, the family of Thijs Vanhaverbeke, were able to escape in time. “I have no idea how this could have happened. We were barbecuing in the front. A long way from the garage, where the fire started,” says Thijs.
