Heavy rain and tornadoes in North Texas counties, including Dallas

Dallas ∙ Several North Texas counties including Dallas, Fort Worth and Dunton were reported to have suffered widespread damage from the tornadoes and heavy rains that struck late Thursday. Tornadoes and hail have also been reported in southwest Arkansas. Road traffic was partially affected.

The National Weather Service issued a warning for all of Texas. About 400 flights have been canceled at airports in Dallas. The small plane flipped upside down due to strong winds in Mechani. By 9pm the wind calmed down. Authorities are assessing the damage.
