CHENNAI: Heavy rain has been reported in many districts from today (Oct 8) due to an atmospheric circulation over the Bay of Bengal.

Chennai Meteorological Center Director Senthamarai Kannan issued a press release: Heavy rain is likely to occur in many districts for the next four days due to the presence of atmospheric circulation over the South Bengal Sea. Puducherry and Karaikal are likely to receive heavy rain today and tomorrow.

Today and tomorrow in Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Ranipet, Vellore, Tirupattur, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagai.Mayiladuthurai, Pudukottai, Trichy, Sivagangai, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Nilgiris, Coimbatore districts. It will rain heavily.
Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Ranipet, Vellore, Tirupattur, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Salem, Namakkal, Trichy, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Erode and Nilgiri districts will experience heavy rain on the 10th. The north-eastern districts including Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram will continue on the 11th. .
