Chennai: The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in 5 districts in Tamil Nadu.
According to the Chennai Meteorological Department, heavy showers are likely in Kanyakumari, Nellai, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar and Theni districts in Tamil Nadu. In a press release issued in this regard,
Light to moderate rain with thundershowers at one or two places in southern Tamil Nadu districts, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Puthuvai and Karaikal today due to the prevailing atmospheric downpour from Maldives to North Coast Karnataka.
Kanyakumari, Nellai, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar and Theni districts will receive heavy showers with thundershowers at one or two places. Other districts will experience mostly dry weather.
There will be light rain in one or two places in the southern Tamil Nadu districts tomorrow. Other districts and parts of Pondicherry and Karaikal will experience dry weather. Mostly dry weather in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal from 15th to 17th.
For Chennai, the sky will be generally cloudy for the next 24 hours.
