Heavy rain warning in 5 districts Dinamalar

Chennai: ‘Heavy rain will occur in five districts including Coimbatore and Theni today’, said the Meteorological Department.

Press release issued by Chennai Meteorological Department: Heavy rain will occur in some districts due to variation in speed of westerly winds. Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni and Dindigul districts will receive heavy rainfall at one or two places.

Some districts including Chennai are likely to receive light rain today and tomorrow. Chennai will record a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, it said.
