Heavy rains are expected in these municipalities

Today Thursday September 26th are expected to register heavy rainsas well as the possible presence of fog during the morning in the highlands of Mexico City (CDMX).

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported that in the CDMX a partly cloudy sky and cool atmosphere will prevail, being cold and with fog banks in high areas, as well as cloudy and with intermittent morning drizzle.

Today, September 26th, the Hurricane John in interaction with a low pressure channel over the Gulf of Mexico, will maintain the rainy season intense to extraordinary in the west, south and southeast of the national territory.

In addition, the Cold front No. 3 will travel through the northeast of the country and enter the Gulf of Mexico, generating showers and heavy rains; while its cold air mass will cause a cooling of temperatures in areas of the Northern Tableland and the Central Tableland.

In Mexico City, heavy rains are forecast with very heavy rainfall, from 50 to 75 mm in 24 hours,

During the afternoon and evening of Thursday, September 26a mild environment is forecast with heavy to very heavy rains in CDMX, accompanied by electric shocks.

These precipitations could reduce visibility, cause landslides and flooding in the municipalities affected by heavy rains.

The northeast wind will have a force of 10 to 25 km/h with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h; the minimum temperature forecast for Mexico City is 13 to 15 °C and the maximum is 19 to 21 °C.
