Firefighters had to intervene 62 times in several towns in the department, in Carentan, Torigni-sur-Vire, Saint-Jean-de-Daye and Saint-Lô news reports.

Two people had to be brought to safety in the latter town, but no injuries were reported on Thursday evening. The rain-flood yellow vigilance runs until midnight tonight.
