“Back to the Future” movie star talks about dealing with Parkinson’s disease

Fox is talking about his serious illness, which he has been dealing with for over two decades. In his words, he also referred to his friend, the actor Chris Lloyd. “He is a very rare person. He is a kind of brother to me,’ he said.
He also said for the first time that in his opinion, if they decide to make a new film, his role should be filled by a woman. “I have no doubt that a woman should take Marty’s role. I’m sure the fans will appreciate this choice,” he explained. As we know, the successful trilogy has hundreds of thousands of devoted fans throughout the years.
Fox added that at the end of next month the foundation he established to treat Parkinson’s disease will hold a huge and festive fundraising event in New York. “I established this foundation in 2000 with the aim of finding a cure for my disease. It was an opportunity for me to find more people who are sick and to evoke empathy,’ he said.
He also explained that the game has always saved him, especially since he is dealing with Parkinson’s. “When the disease hit me hard, I realized I couldn’t play the same way. It was very frustrating. I realized I couldn’t remember my text, I was afraid it was the end of my career,” he recalled.
Finally he concluded and said optimistically that every door that closes opens another door. ‘Parkinson’s opened a huge door for me to many things that just chose me. I’m lucky in the end.’
