Absolute failure: CNN’s streaming service will be shut down after just one month
The news giant has announced that the streaming service + CNN will cease operations on April 30, just one month after its launch. Incoming CNN CEO: “We will continue to be an important part of the Warner Bros. Discovery Corporation”
Less than a month after it was launched to great acclaim, the streaming service “+ CNN” will be shut down. This is according to a news channel announcement published this morning (Thursday).

As you may recall, CNN invested hundreds of millions of dollars in the streaming service, which went live on March 29 for $ 5.99 a month (or $ 59.99 a year). The big news network has recruited many veteran presenters, but as mentioned today it announced that the streaming service will be shut down on April 30.
Chris Licht, incoming CNN CEO, commented on the decision, saying: “CNN will continue to be an important part of Warner Bros. Discovery Corporation, which sees the news as an important product alongside a wider range of sports and entertainment services. Therefore, we have decided to stop CNN + activity. “
As mentioned, CNN has invested huge sums in the streaming service’s programs, and at least some of the programs will be transferred to the corporation’s main streaming service – HBO MAX.
