Disappointment for music lovers: The Grammy ceremony was postponed due to the spread of the corona
The organizers of the Grammy Awards have announced that it has been decided to postpone the event, which was planned to take place in the City of Angels at the end of the month, but a new date has not yet been set.
The 64th Grammy Awards ceremony scheduled to take place at the end of this month in Los Angeles has been postponed to an unknown date in light of the spread of the corona virus, the National Academy of Arts and Recording Sciences said today (Wednesday).

The glittering event was scheduled to take place at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center) in downtown Los Angeles on Jan. 31, but “the ceremony could not be held safely in light of the omicron eruption,” the academy said.
“After examining the issue in depth and consulting with city and state health officials as well, we are forced to postpone the ‘Great Evening of Music’ to another date, which we will announce soon.
Whoever is supposed to host the ceremony is comedian Trevor Noah, who even hosted the 63rd Grammy Awards (which was also postponed from January to March due to the eruption of the corona).
After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community and our many partners, we have postponed the 64th #GRAMMYs. https://t.co/oMzV1U9Tsc
