“Far Beyond Negligence”: Will the parents of the killer from Michigan be prosecuted?
Auckland County Attorney General hinted that an indictment would be filed against James and Jennifer Crambley, the parents of 15-year-old Ethan, over the next day: “There are more people who will have to stand trial,” she said in an interview with local media.
The Michigan Department of Prosecution is expected to decide in the next day whether to prosecute the parents of Ethan Crumbley, the student who opened fire at Oxford High School and murdered four of his classmates yesterday (Tuesday).

In fact, as early as yesterday, the county’s chief prosecutor, the McDonald’s Foundation, hinted at the possibility that Crumble’s parents – James and Jennifer – could be prosecuted. In an interview with a local radio station earlier today, McDonald explained that she hopes a final decision will be made by Friday:
“It’s far beyond negligence, the parents were the only ones who knew where the weapons were stored, and the suspect seemed to have full access to them. We will probably prosecute the shooter, but there are other people who will have to prosecute,” she said.
“The plaintiff’s remarks join previous reports that the shooter’s parents arrived at the school about two to three hours before their son began the killing spree, in order to meet and discuss the boy’s behavioral problems: the parents were brought in on the morning of the shooting, and had a face-to-face meeting with the school.” The district, Michael Bouchard, “The content of that meeting is of course part of the investigation, but we did not know about that meeting, nor about its contents, until after the shooting and during the investigation.”
Alongside this, the law enforcement authorities in Michigan even revealed that the weapon used by the boy – a 9mm diameter SIG Sauer type semi-automatic pistol – was purchased by his father last Friday.

Initially, initial reports of the Oxford High School shooting incident – about 60 miles north of Detroit – were received Tuesday around 1:00 p.m. (local time). According to the Auckland County Sheriff’s Office, more than 100 students and teachers called the 911 police emergency center And reported the shooting.
The deadly shooting claimed the lives of four students: 16-year-old Tate Meyer, 17-year-old Hannah Saint-Juliana, 17-year-old Madison Baldwin and 17-year-old Justin Schilling. Nine other people – a teacher and eight students – were shot and injured.
The shooter will be prosecuted as an adult, and is charged with carrying out a terrorist attack, four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of attempted murder and 12 counts of possession of a weapon during a criminal offense.
